30.1.2011 Japan Oddity

I was watching a television program in London on oddities in Japan.

One of the segments of the one hour show is on Love Doll, also called, Sex Doll. I have seen this on a local documentary program. And I get to have more insights after watching the show in London.

The host interviewed this Japanese man in his 40s who has an amazing collection of over 100 Love Dolls in his tiny apartment. I realized he has been interviewed by many television companies, all over the world.

His fetish for Love Dolls begins when he was a teenager, that explains why he has a huge collection. He prefers having sex with dolls than woman. I seriously cannot fathom this.

Most of the dolls are buxom beauties, (buyer get to decide on the breast size) but with beautifully subtle features that are undeniably Japanese, Customize it to be just the girl you want, with a wide selection of faces and hairpieces that are all different, but fully interchangeable.

All the dolls are waterproof and will be fine in the bath with you, or simply posing by herself. It's silicone breasts feel extremely soft and realistic, as does all of her skin. It's smooth without the drag you typically feel on latex when you touch it.

Because it's 100 percent silicone, the skin is seamless in the joint areas, making her look more real! You can enhance it with under-hair, or leave it hairless if you choose to. The body hole is extremely high quality and durable, and provides amazing sensations for the buyers.

There are museums in Japan where Love Dolls are on rental. Customers get to pick the wig, face, breast size & clothes.

After resting 11 hours, I get out of bed to get lunch. When I look out of the room, I am greeted by grey cloudy sky again.

When I arrive Giraffe, it's already filled with lunch crowd. The menu says, we serve lunch at a happy price to make you happy. I bet all patrons left happy! They did it!

I merely have to top up 2.95 quids for a mug of hot sweet potato soup. I am contemplating between soup or dessert, as the latter is always my top pick. I pick something hot as it's real freezing outside.

This is my set lunch which costs 6.95 quids, which comes with a fizzy drink. Such an economical set lunch, isn't it?

I slept from 9pm-7am, after dinner and shopping. It's 3pm back home when I wake. Glad I manage to snooze a couple of hours, an hour later. By 12 noon, I am up and out. My first stop is Piccadilly Circus. I hop onto a bus right across the hotel. Love the convenience!!

I recollect spending Lunar New Year many years back with Lynn, Rachael and Elsie, when I see the lobster bee hoon poster on the wall, when having lunch in the restaurant I frequent.

Woosh! I am hopping from River Island to Topshop, not missing any of my favorite stores on Oxford Street! And making Primark, located at the far end, my last stop. It's filled with people and I lose interest in browsing as I do not wish to spend too much time waiting in the line to make payment. Furthermore, I do not have faith in the quality of the goods. My brand new tights tore on my first wear. Poor quality, yah? In 10 minutes, I am out and decide to get back to Holland Park to get dinner.

Green chicken curry.

Stir-fry aubergine with chilli.

I am so happy with my dinner although it's a little pricey, as I spend 16.15 pounds for it.

This is my first purchase. It's Zara long top. It was 19 pounds and now, 9.99 pounds. I love it's color.

This French Connection coat was priced at 180 pounds (original price) then 90 pounds and when I bring it to cashier, to my delight, I am told it's 45 pounds!! What a steal! A great sense of satisfaction surges me! Haha! Fancy finding such a pretty coat at 45 pounds! Ain't I lucky, as there's only two pieces of size 6 left on the rack.

Yes! It's only S$91.35, under $100!

A new top from River Island :)

My weak heart sank yesterday when I stepped into Swarovski to see the ring I bought last month has been slashed to 44 pounds, after a 60% discount!! I paid 110 pounds for it! Hence, I pick something from the sales corner to appease myself. This ring is going at 60% discount off the full price too!

Cannot wait to dive into the bed, as I have been up since two am, this morning! Before I do that, I have to fill my rumbling stomach.

Dinner in the posh food court in the mall. Look! Am given a glass for my fizzy drink.

I love shopping for food stuffs overseas, as I get to sweep all my favorites home!

I have barely 48 hours this trip. Hence, I have to fully utilize my time! After work, I make a trip to the nearby mall for dinner and shopping. Although I didn't find anything which catches my eyes, but I return with a bagful of food stuffs from Marks & Spencer.

Each costs less than S$2!!

Am dead exhausted!! Going to snooze soon!

This is my second time meeting Zelia. I last met her 4-5 years ago, when she was two, if I am not wrong. She has turned into a small girl now. Zelia is friendly and I can see she is an adventurous girl. I learned her parents are less protective over her and both are willing to let her venture and try out new things. They adopt the "no pain no gain" attitude. Her mom allows her to climb up the tree today and she knows her daughter would be extra careful in her climb, knowing the consequences of falling off the tree. Cool mom, yah? Needless to say, her mom fears she would fall but she wants her to have fun and at the same time, be responsible for her action.

I am real proud of you, Joywe! You make a great mom and I wish your daughter turns out to be a fine young lady.

After work, I get two hours of rest and force myself out of the bed to get ready for lunch date with my friends for 13 years. This is the first time we meet up since the day we met! We update on each others' life & sightings of other mates in our class. TD leaves for work after lunch whereas Y and I go shopping before she picks up her daughter at four o'clock.

Yay! This is going at half price when I visit Accessorize today!!! I am close to paying 18 pounds for it! I am the proud owner of it now!! Was $49 now $24.50.

Once I get home, I am dead tired but I am overly-eager to work on the scrape book for Karen. By eleven o'clock, I have completed my third scrape book. Hope she likes it.

I wake at one o'clock today. I am famished and make myself a bowl of instant noodle. Glad I manage to snooze for four hours after my nosh.

This is my first time to the wholesale mart. They sell daily-use products in bulk, for family use!

After inquiring the location of In N Out Burger, I go in the direction given.

Love the translucent blue sky!!

I love the cheese fries with "animal" dressing, which consists of fried onions on a creamy dressing.

It's 22 degree celcius today but it feels like 30 degree celcius! I can barely open my eyes! The heat from the glazing sun is unbearable!

Most shoppers lug big and bulky items back and I only bring two items back on my first visit.

In order to start my exercise regime, I have to get myself a pair of running shoe. Now, I am ready to go for run!

I hope my new year resolution, to keep fit, will materialize.
