29.4.2009 One day out with KT

I rise at 7am today, thus joined Karen at wet market getting fresh produce for her family. She gets cod, salmon, pork meat, chicken meat and some vegetables. After getting her stuffs, we go to the hawker centre in Bedok Interchange for breakfast.

This is my favourite Soon Guay!! The skin is so soft and thin! Simply yummy! ~

After napping with Karen and Rayan, we go for a swim.

28.4.2009 Little Edric

Edric is 2.5 months old now. He looks slightly different from the last time I visited him, 1.5 month ago.

Hungry again? But your next feed is 45minutes later, you know?

25.4.2009 Last day in New York, still toasty!

I am so lucky! I had 13hour of rest last night, again! Gosh! So much sleep this trip. It's really unusual. After packing my luggage and doing a bit of reading, I leave the room for breakfast and Times Square. When I am done shooting in Times Square, I turn into the lane leading to Rockefeller Square, I see a big sun ahead of me. So I decided to take my retreat. Think it's a better option to stay indoors. Upon returning to room, I nap for two hours. Hee.

25.4.2009 Another shopping spree

I am glad I rested fairly well. I am surprised I rested 11hours last night.

Tiffany and I leave the hotel at 9.40am today, in search of Jane Iredale mineral powder. She gets so excited after finding out from her cousin how good the mineral powder is. After inquiry this product at Sephora, we find out it's a No.1 mineral product in USA and gives very good results. Unfortunately, it is not available off the shelves. It can only be purchased online. You can find out more at www.janeiredale.com.

I bring 2 dolls out for shoot today but I didn't get to shoot them as the heat makes me lose interest in shooting them. After our lunch at 2pm, we quickly head back to room to rest.

This is my first time catching so much tulips here. It's ubiquitious in Manhattan.

This is my USD12 lunch, cheese burger from Home of Good Burger at 54th street on Lexington Avenue.

Yay! Find a pair of nude-hue heels finally! I would prefer an open-toe pair, but make do with this pointed front heel as I get this at a steal. Keke. I even approached another customer who is about to make payment to combine our sale so that we could enjoy additional 20% off the 2nd pair. Hee. In the end, both of us saved USD9 each and this pair of heels cost me USD40.99 "O one pair costs more than SGD100 back home.

Wow! The heat is killing me! I get so exhausted after staying outdoor for a couple of hours. When I get back to the room at 4pm, I go to bed one hour later. It's 4am back home, probably that's the reason I am feeling sleepy.

24.4.2009 A shopping day in New York City

Wooh! I rested for 13 hours and I am fully recharged now! It's my first time getting so much rest in USA, normally get 5-6hrs of sleep on the first night. Feeling refreshed, I am ready to charge to the shops. Hee hee.

Tulips at Bryant Park.

Me shooting in the hot sun!

A symbol of Manhattan.

Sweeeeeet cupcakes.

Yellow tulips.

Shops in Columbus Circus.

Here's my shopping today!! Love the color combination of the pair of shorts from Old Navy. After paying, I feel the pinch for spending USD10 on it :( Besides that, I get few pieces of clothes from Forever 21 ;) (Yeah, got new clothes for my upcoming holiday) Get myself lovely luggage tag and multi-purpose pouch. (Not sure what to place in the pouch yet) The owls printed on them are so cute!! Supposed to get a foundation and blusher only, from Benefit, but end up getting 2 extra Benefit products. Haha.

I return to the room before 8pm. Can't believe it, I spend the whole day out shopping! By 9pm, I am in bed ;)

23.4.2009 Sleep-deprived me :S

Gosh! When I get to NYC, I was zombied-out! This is because I have been up for the past 30hrs with a mere 1.5hr of rest. Arrive the hotel at 6pm and only get our keys 20mins later. How efficient can these people be? :S They seriously need to buck up! I am famished after a hot shower and I intend to go to the nearby Thai eatery to pack dinner before getting my very much deprived sleep. Unfortunately, my plan didn't materialized as I am seriously dead tired by then and too weak to make my way out.. thus I quickly finish a packet of my soya bean drink to stop my hunger pang at that very minute and dive into the bed, without wasting any time! Within seconds, I meet my zzzzzz monster friends.

16.4.2009

I left the hotel at 8.15am and catch the 8.52am train to Utrecht. Since I am early, I go to Mac for breakfast before catching next train to take me to Houton where Nat is picking me up. I am pretty thrilled visiting her home again as it wasn't fully ready on my last visit and I didn't get to see much of the garden as it was dark by mid noon during the wintertime.

This is the front of the house.

We are having tea with the pandan cake. It's so refreshing unwinding here and catching up with her.

She is wondering why didn't I follow her into the coop. Haha. I didn't tell her I am afraid of the koo koo kay.

J is enjoying the pandan chiffon cake I bought from Bengawan Solo.

View from the garden.

Nat grows tulips in her garden now. They are so pretty!

Mommy tells J we are going to the bakery and she keeps repeating after her mom she is going to the baker.

The white sakura tree in the middle is huge and simply gorgeous!

Nat says this is a very typical old Dutch house.

This is what the locals have for lunch; their staple food.

Bread with chocolate sprinkle. Nat says this is one way they eat bread.

J is making her way to the room for a short nap.

J's eating cookies in the kitchen, when she gets up.

On our way to the train station, we spot few pretty sakura trees.

This is my dinner, Nasi Goreng. The fried rice is spicy, so tastes pretty good. It comes with generous serving of ko ro po (prawn crackers). Too much rice and prawn crackers which I didn't savour all.

Here's my shopping!! Wahaha!!
Love the buttons on the blouse. This is my 3rd blouse costing between $60-80. Feeling abit heartache because I normally don't pay so much for a top.

Went back to River Island to pay for these skirts I wanna get yesterday. Was asked to produce ID when I pay with my credit card. Guess what? When I pay for my items, the lady didn't ask for my ID today! Waste my time!!

Love the luminous pink belt with a cute bow.

Hmm.. need to get a black or beige belt to go with this top. The ruffles make the top so girly.
