25.6.2010 Winter in Melbourne

My plan to wake after a short rest to make a trip to Queen Victoria Market did not materialize. I end up waking at 6.30 in the evening and I am in time to catch the shuttle bringing me to town.

En route to running some errands, I am lured into Kookai and I end up spending at least 30 minutes in the store.

Oh yes! This is a brand I adore in Australia. The big sale sign is calling me into the store. Haha! I tell myself I must not give this a miss!

Dinner at ten o'clock in Chinatown. This is lemongrass pork chop, one of the house signature dishes.

It's still drizzling when I walk back to the hotel from town.

Crown Promenade, my destination.

It's kinda fun walking in the rain in the night, listening to my favorite songs. It's a different kind of experience altogether, which I do enjoy.

My shopping today.

Was A$35 now A$17.

I owned this in blue and black and I love the cut of the camisole, hence I get a white one.

Was A$90 now A$45.

Was A$60 now A$30.

Was A$50 now A$25.

Was A$50 now A$25.

This is my damage "P

I am on standby duty today and I sneak out of the house at 4 o'clock to meet Nathalie.

She goes on a huge shopping spree today, getting herself a set of Nike sports wear and some clothing from Esprit, dora stuffs for Julia, camera bag and tee for her boyfriend and a singlet for a friend in Holland.

We are having dinner finally, at ten o'clock as we had late lunch!

Nathalie and all her shopping bags! There's more bags in some of those bags!

No new stuffs for me today but I didn't go home empty-handed. I get half a dozen of donuts home for my family and I. The donuts are going to be our breakfast tomorrow.

At 4.45pm, I arrive Furama City Center hotel lobby to pick Nathalie up. To my astonishment, I am told she is not staying in this hotel. I learned there's another Furama in Singapore!! Oh my god!! What a boo boo I have made! She has sent me the hotel details but I didn't take time to read the address and assume that's the one I know.

30mins later, Nathalie arrives on foot, from Furama River Front to Furama City Center. And two hungry girls quickly hopped to hawker center in Chinatown for lunch. After which, we make our way to Singapore's new sight.

Our coolest, newest landmark!!

You won't miss Singapore skyline on the Helix Bridge. And this is my favorite view of Singapore!!! Whenever I ride on bus 30 on the expressway to and fro Vivo City, I would glue my eyes on the gorgoeus skyline.

Marina Bay Sands houses a casino, 2500 guest rooms, a theater, mall, Sands Sky Park and convention center. Wow! All under one roof! I love it's magnificent architecture structure!!

We hop onto a bus which brings us to the nearest mall, Marina Square for the Great Singapore Sale. Nathalie ends the day with 3 shopping bags! Good to see her shop as she seldom have time to shop for herself back home.

We arrive Boon Tong Kee in River Valley at 10.30pm. I notice the eatery has been revamped, which means the price has certainly gone up too.

The chicken rice has a new image too!!

Oh!! This is my favorite deep fried tofu accompanied with green tea mayonnaise.

I am so satisfied with my dinner! We are real stuffed and hence we opt to walk back to the hotel which is 2 bus stops away.

We chat for a while before I head home to rest. I am so delighted to see her in Singapore as we last met in Holland in April 2009.

I hope I can meet up with her again on Tuesday..

18.6.2010 My new love

My new love turns 3 months old in 3 days' time. I am so in love with it. Who doesn't feel attached to his/her I Phone? Wahaha! I love it when I can check my bus arrival timings, check emails and friend's update on Facebook on the go!

I can say I am addicted to it! The first thing thing I do when I open my eyes and the last thing I do before I shut my eyes, is to fiddle with it. I seriously think it's a bad habit I have cultivated over the last 2+ months. I know I am not the only one with such an "illness".

17.6.2010 Shopaholic's conquest!

Here's my recent purchases, all out in the sun! Can't wait to wear them!! Three tops, two leggings and a pair of shoes, mostly from River Island, except the rose-printed legging. My total spending was 80 pounds = S$167. My spending is still within control, yah? ;)

Cowl neck tunic.

I first caught the nude flats in Dubai but I couldn't find it in the two stores I visited in London. So, I ended up getting the white one. Hmm.. I feel like owning the one in black too. SW, pleassssssse help me get nude (if any) and black!! Haha. The nude one is super sweeeeeeet, you must own it too!

I am back to Giraffe for a meal, as the Thai restaurant near Holland Park station won't be open until twelve noon.

I cannot resist dessert!! Hence, I must have one to end my meal with. This warm brownie is sooooo delicious!

Since it's still early and I have rested pretty well last night, I shall spend some time in the mall as I am stuffed.

It's time for me to leave. I am so happy with my purchases from Mamas & Papas. They have extremely lovely baby & children clothings!

13.6.2010

After resting four hours, I rise at 6 to get ready for work. It's going to be a long day for me. I pray that I would not make any blunder today, due to lack of rest.

It's my first time in Sherperd Bush. After a nice hot shower, I step out to find dinner.

I like the embience here.

My bottle of water has arrived and I am waiting patiently for my dinner. I am kinda excited to see how my food turns out..

Tada! Here's the stir fried noodles with duck and mixed vegetables. It tastes a little sweet and I am quite happy with it.

This is the only oriental dish here. They serve mostly burgers.

A unique way to present bill.

After dinner, I have a relaxing walk back to the hotel, walking in Holland Park, a very peaceful and tranquil residential estate. The residents in this area are indeed very lucky to reside in such a pleasant neighborhood!!

Back to hotel to retire, to get my well-deserved sleep! Oh yes, my long-awaited moment to lay on the bed for the next 12 hours, is here!
