28.2.2009 Full month gift for baby Edric

Baby Edric is turning one month old next Saturday. Since I am visiting him tomorrow, I shall bring him the gift for his full month celebration.

I chanced upon Mamas and Papas when I was shopping in London last December. Thus, entered the shop as I need to get some baby stuffs as gift. Here's the website for Mamas and Papas ~ http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk

Mamas and Papas is an Italian brand found in United Kingdom.

Long sleeve tee with jeans.

Jumper set and matching shoes. These are for baby from 0-3mths.

Ready to wrap..

I like the pictures on the sole. The "creatures" are hyper-active, like most boys.

The tying of a ribbon is a traditional symbol in Italy to annouce the arrival of a newborn baby. This symbol has inspired the ribbon mortif used by Mamas & Papas.

The gift is wrapped.

25.2.2009 My nerve-cracking moment!!

Today is the day our language teacher grade us. We have fun during the practice! For my very first attempt in the mock-up, I was really nervous and I didn't perform well. After more practices, I get accustomed to it and I regain my confidence!

At 4pm, it's time to be graded, after 45mins of intensive practice. The tension built up when I hear the first student over the PA. There is complete silence in the room and that fella sounds so stern and his low voice make me super tensed shorty!!! Gosh! What a coward! Thus, I stepped out of the room to calm myself down. Ha. (I am 13 in line) When I was behind the handset, my heart thumps so loudly until I can hear my heartbeat!!! My hand goes out of control. It starts shaking very badly and I have to take deep breaths frequently to stay calm. But it doesn't seem to work! In the end, I err few times which I didn't commit when I was practicing. The rest of the gals sound so calm and steady, unlike me. Think I am the most nervous one in class. Useless bum!

I can foresee butterflies flying in my stomach when I go online. Shucks! May god bless me. Wahaha.

I shall wear this new color tomorrow as I have learned from Sylvia how to blend the colors. She is so good in blending and she has passed me a tip or two but I have yet to put into practice. Hope I can blend the colors as well as her and appear with captivating eyes in the future. Haha.

21.2.2009

Agnes, Ashley, Jane and I met up for the second time after losing contact for more than ten years. We had breakfast at East Coast Mac Donald's. Ashley and Jane are married with kids. Raeann and LeeAnn are their daughters respectively. It's nice catching up with old-time friends occasionally. Good to see they are happily married.

LeeAnn Fletcher is so pretty! (Her dad is Eurasian) She is picky with her food and only takes what she likes. It's really hard feeding her, outside.

She detests walking on sand, so she refuses to step out of her "comfort zone" and Agnes has to drag her out of the mat to play sand with Raeann. Wahaha.

Ashley's daughter, Raeann, asked for my name the first time I see her. Looks like she is not afraid of strangers. Her mom is expecting now and she will have a sibling to play with, 9 months later. I believe she must me looking forward to the arrival of her sibling.

9.2.2009 Delighful shopping day

Sherin asks me to go shopping with her today as she needs to shop for Valentine's Day gift for her hubby. We start shopping at 4.30pm and didn't realize it's getting late until we read the time at 9pm. So we make one last stop to M)phosis before dinner. Here's all my purchases for the day and I am extremely happy with all my buy.

En route to Takashimaya, we pop into LVER as the big board outside the store screams, 20% disc when you purchase 2 items! End up getting this sleeveless printed blouse.

And this pencil skirt with ruffles at the back of the skirt! Love the detail very much.

Get this note book to write notes for work. My memory is failing, so I have to jot down whatever I need to know.

On our way to the men section in Metro, I see a small board at Chomel says, 20% off for all items!!! I recall I need to get small clips for my fringe as it is getting long now. So I need clips to keep them in place and we start browsing.

$26.40 Turtleneck from Muji after discount ;)

8.2.2009 Delayed spring cleaning "P

Jacket n coats on my new stand. The base is wide so I place my jeans, bags and sweaters here.

My office wear!

Almost half of them are from Ling ;)

In the evening, I started picking up the huge mess in my bed room. Haha. Procrastinated for so long, in fact. And Lunar New Year is almost over! I am so pleased to find a sturdy stand as this one can take the weight of the jackets and coats. I transfer all from the old stand to the new one as the old one is too cramp.

Besides that, I also start digging out less casual clothes I can find in my wardrobe for my 1 month sting from 11th onwards. I have 3 skirts, a few pair of pants n a few dresses which is barely sufficient to last me for one month. I am lucky to get some office wear from Ling when she was trying to get rid of her clothes last month. Thus I sort them out and place them on the stand for easy access.

shopping spree in Auckland

Silky eye color quads for $31.

Perfecting Lipstick (Rouge a Levres Parfait) costs me $23! I paid $28 for one last October when the rate was higher.

S$345 tote bag.

I know I can't shop anymore but I succumbed to the temptation of attractive prices of these items I purchased from Auckland duty free shop enjoying 20% discount with NZD rate of 0.83, thus it's as good as almost 40% discount! Wohoho!

I found a tote bag I like which is cheaper than a Burberry blue label bag, so I bought it after a little struggle. Keke.

2.2.2009 Luxury shoemaker

This is Jimmy Choo! Gosh! Didn't expect him to be so senior. I expect him to be some trendy and stylish middle-aged chap or even gay. If he were to appear in Orchard Road, I wouldn't be able to tell him apart from any uncle seen there.

Choo designs elegant footwear which is worn by royalty and stars. His shoes will burn a big hole in your pocket! ;) I believe it's every girls' dream to own a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. Although I couldn't afford to own a pair, but I am extremely proud of a Malaysian making such a big name for himself in USA.
