In the late noon, SW drives us to Henderson Waves. If I am not wrong, it's only accessible by car. We are indeed very lucky to locate the bridge once we get there. It's a hot spot for families on weekends and a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts.
Henderson Waves (Chinese: 亨德森波浪桥) is a 274-metre long pedestrian bridge. At 36 metres above Henderson Road, it is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It connects Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill Park.
The bridge has a wave-form made up of seven undulating curved steel ribs that alternately rise over and under its deck. The curved ribs form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within. Slats of yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in Southeast Asia, are used in the decking. The wave-forms are lit with LED lamps at night from 7pm to 2am daily.
I feel a strong sense of patriotism when I see the neatly arranged blocks of flats. This is MY HOME.
It's rather relaxing to see sunset here too. All you have to do is to find a spot in the shade.
