1.2.2010 Life without a caller ID

Today is the fourth day without a caller identity.

Realising that my bill is fairly high for a low user like me, I finally call the phone company to change my plan. Upon inquiring my usage, I noticed I have under-utilized my prime plan. Arrrggghh... I should have made this call earlier! Thus I have picked something more suitable, having to pay $20.54 now, with $7 savings each month, if I do not exceed my allowance. The new plan allows me to enjoy 100 minutes of outgoing call, free incoming calls and 500 sms/mms every month. But it does not include caller identity service and I pay 10% more if I were to call or send sms overseas. I have to pay additional $5 for caller ID service. The staff promised me complimentary caller ID service for the first 3 months but apparently I am not able to tell who the caller is whenever my mobile phone rings.

Can you live without Caller ID service? We are so used to such convenience in our daily life and when you lose it, you might think you are unable to survive without one. As for me, I am kinda accustomed to not seeing the caller's name been displayed on the screen of my phone. You have to recognise the caller's voice, if not, you probably have to ask who the caller is. Pretty embarassing, isn't it? I think it's quite fun!!
