2.1.2010 My First.
After resting for two hours, I force myself out of the bed to do some shopping in Sydney. I want to check out the big sale after Boxing Day. To my disappointment, the whole row of shops on Pitt Street is under renovation!! :S This means lesser shops for me to patronise!!
My first stop is Kookai on George Street. This is my one and only favorite brand in Down Under. Sadly, the stuffs on sale are pretty old and ugly! But I managed to find a chestnut ballerina singlet at A$15.
After that, I hop to Queen Victoria Building which is right across the street. This is not my first time here, but I am still fascinated with the stained glass windows, tiled floors and the huge mechanical clock found in it. Hope you like the pictures of the interior of QVB.
Gluten-free cakes.
Jigsaw in Queen Victoria Building.
SALE sign is seen in every corner here.
The Great Australian Clock.
QVB on a busy Saturday.
The underground leads me to the food court on Pitt Street. This is my lunch, roasted pumpkin and mushroom spud (A$6.90) and Mac Donald's Raspberry freeze (A$3.15).I grab a quick bite so that I could continue shopping before the shops close at six o'clock.
I realize I have not dined here for a long time, for the whole of last year. I normally spend the whole day in bed and only wake in the evening for dinner. I also notice the food court has been refurbished too.. the stalls have played musical chairs and there are new players too.
View of Sydney Tower, from my room.
Shortly after I return from outside, I get dressed and run to the nearby Japanese eatery I discovered on my last trip and order the same dish, pork shioyaki (A$10). I enjoy the meal in the comfort of my room, while keeping myself entertained, watching "The Ugly Truth".
By 7.30pm, I retire for the day as I have a long day, the following day.
