A small breakfast before we set off.

When I arrived Fukuoka, I asked the hotel staff if we could still catch sakura. They paused and politely said no. When I get out of the train station to get to Ohori Park today, I am greeted by a row of sakura trees, which makes me jumping with joy!

I rise at 7 today and glad to learn it's going to be a bright sunny day!

The flight arrives early! Once we step onto ground, we hop into a cab to bring us to the hotel. As we have 3 pieces of luggage, hence we give up the economic option of taking train. The ride takes about 15 minutes and the fare comes up to 2230 yen.

We are lucky as the room is available when we arrive at 9 in the morning! If the occupancy is high, we probably have to pay early check in charge or hang around in the lobby until the room is ready at check in time. Phew!

Our room is a distance from the elevator. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the roomy room! They placed the rollaway bed, which is going to be my bed for the next six nights, in the living room.

We decide to fill our stomachs before taking a nap as my parents did not get any sleep on the plane last night. Most of the eateries are closed and we are lucky to find Mos Burger behind the hotel.

At 4pm, we are out again, this time, hunting for food.

After dinner, we head for UNIQLO and Muji in Ten Jin, the heart of Fukuoka, to get some stuffs for my parents.

I knock off this morning from graveyard shift last night. After work, SW happens to be in the vicinity, so we meet up for breakfast before she heads for the training centre. Laying in bed for 30 minutes, I am still up, hence I get changed and leave the house to run some errands. Most importantly, I need to get some yen for my trip tonight.

After resting for two hours, I have my dinner and we set off for the airport.

Spring Fukuoka, here I come!!

I am so thankful to the owner of this pair of shoes! She is the hotel staff who works at the reception. She loans me her spare shoes until the day I leave. Truly appreciate it, if not, I wouldn't be able to step out of my room!

Oh yes!! I am back to Nagoya!! I set off for lunch at four today. As usual I have my first meal at the curry house. The female staff from China is of so much help to me, she helps me translate the menu! Hee.

After lunch, I make my usual stops to Maruei where I visit DHC, UNIQLO and Muji. After that, I chanced upon the underground shopping when I am hunting for Fancl.






I am taking a break and savoring this ice cream with small pieces of orange in a high end mall.


I am told these Japan oranges are sweet, but those I tasted are not.





While waiting to be served, this lady next to me takes out a stick of cigarette and start puffing away. Glad she only had one stick.


This eatery serves you your tempura when it's freshly deep-fried. The items arrives one by one. Something new to me.



Before heading back to retire, I have my dinner at a tempura joint. I enjoy my meal!

This is my second trip to Malacca. SW, Derek and I set off in the morning at 10 and we arrive there just in time for lunch. Yes!! We are here for FOOD!!



We are famished when we arrive Malacca! This is our first meal there.


Another must-have when you visit Malacca, Cendol with Gula Melaka (palm sugar)!!





After a short walk around in Jonk Street, we are back to the hotel to chill out. We have a drink in the hotel cafe and savoring the local products, pineapple tart.

We return to the room in the late noon for a short nap and are out again in the evening, food hunting. Gosh! We seem like eating non-stop!!

Once I recover my photos from my memory card, I shall share with you what I have for dinner. It's called Lok Lok. It's like steam boat.. the only difference is the soup is satay sauce instead. It's my first time tasting it and I kinda enjoy it.

March is a bad month for me. Super duper lousy work schedule (Think it's the worst to date!!) and my precious lappy screen got smashed in a fight! Glad March has ended!! I do not wish to remember any fragment of it!! Out you go!!

I am going to embrace the brand new month in the year!! Spring is here!! (I love this season most!!) Without saying, it's going to lift my spirit!! Work schedule has improved tremendously and I am having a getaway with my folks in mid April. Hope we are able to catch cherry blossom this time, although the forecast says best viewing time ends early April. I shall keep my fingers crossed!! I am sure we can view it!!

I find Cantonese, English-accent English and Japanese are 3 languages which are music to my ears. This also means I love to visit HKG, UK and Japan. On my recent trip to Manchester, I would open up my ears to listen to locals speaking in their heavily-accented English! It's a pleasure to me!
